Volunteer Opportunities
There are numerous opportunities to volunteer with Utah CRU across Utah. This page is primarily focused on needs in the Salt Lake Valley, but please contact us if you have a heart to reach college students for Christ at any of the schools in the state.
Here are some of the areas we need help:
CRU Weekly meeting - Help with operating the coffee bar, playing worship music or even teaching. All of these are big needs for our meeting and provide opportunity to get to know the students.
Valor - If you have been in the military and desire to disciple ROTC students or even lead a small group Bible study.
Athletes in Action - If you are passionate about athletics and especially if you played at the college level. We need people who are comfortable discipling athletes and helping them reach out to their teams.
Lifelines - If you are an active climber, hiker, rafter or if you just value teaching people by using experiences in the outdoors. Involves taking groups of students on day trips and helping with the technical side or with spiritual content. Any certifications (ie WFR) are very helpful.
Bible studies for International students - Bridges is our minstry at the University of Utah for international students. We are always in need of more leaders for small groups and would love to have groups that meet for students at Westminster or Salt Lake Community college.
Be a friend to an International student - The Cross Culture Club is a group dedicated to helping international students feel at home here in Salt Lake City. There are opportunities to join a group of students on a tour of the city or even invite students from all over the world into your home.
Lots of possiblities - If you have a desire to work with college students and help reach them for Christ on our campuses then we'd like to talk to you and hear your ideas.
